I know, I know, it's been a while

Things have been super busy as of late.
No, not drinking lots of wine and taking naps...okay maybe some of that. But mostly real life stuff like moving into our new house! We are officially all moved in, but officially not all the way unpacked. I was hoping it would all be done by now, but we really have a lot of shit!

The house is great, we are loving it! We have already been out on the deck cooking out and enjoying our backyard. Which by the way let me tell you is great because we have lots of space, and grass and trees and nature. It's also great because we have:

1. Multiple wild turkeys!
2. Squirrels!
3. Bunnies!
4. Owls!
5. Hawks!
6. And some dogs who live down the street and sometimes walk near our driveway which means they are kinda sorta mine ish.

Are you blown away by all of the nature? Listen, this is exciting to us because our last abode was an apartment, with no yard, no trees, and not much grass. Certainly no wildlife, unless you count the numerous hoodlums that cut through our driveway on their way to skipping school and threw their grape soda cans in our trash can. So you can see how this is exciting to us.

We also decided on a carpet! But not before I made J haul the  carpet that I thought was perfect all the way home, unroll it and position it in the family room. Then I decided I hated it. He said it was okay, he would roll it up and take it back. Then he sat down. And I was confused.

Me: "wait, you mean right now right?"
J: "right now what?"
Me : "roll the carpet up."
J: "why? the stores closed now"
Me: "But I haaaaate it, it hurts my eyes and our new family room is becoming depressed because it has such a stupid carpet in it"
J: "You're kidding right?"
Me: "......." (squished 'I'm sorry but I'm also serious' face)
J: "right."

Whew. Now that the ugly carpet is gone, I can search for a beautiful one online.
So even though we still have boxes, we really have gotten a lot unpacked too.

Awesome new carpet!!

Peace, Love, and Wild Turkeys
